The week leading up to the wedding!

On Monday we picked up Anthea and Jaclyn from Hamilton airport. They had flown from Australia to Vancouver a few days earlier and had now made their way to Hamilton. From there, we headed off to Niagara Falls along with the Byl contingent.

The amount of water going over the falls was just amazing! We have a wonderful Creator and His majesty is displayed in the powerful force of that water continuously going over the falls.

Ali and the page boy!

The Falls!

Alex and Teresa went on the Maiden of the Mist (boat) and I got to have Charlie! It was very misty and wet so we were all bundled up in sweaters!

And the American side!

Sisters!

All together again!

Both the American and the Canadian Falls

Afterwards we went to Tim Hortons for dinner. We had a bunch of very tired kids!

The following day we had a bit of a sleep-in and then headed out to Kitchener and went to St Jacobs which is a Mennonite/Amish community. They have markets there and so we went to check it out. It was interesting looking at all their bits and bobs.

Across the road was an outlet with a Lego store which had an area for the kids. They could play with the blocks, make things and even have car races on a ramp.

Oh, little Charlie lights up when he sees a camera!

Entertainment for young to old!

Huge models made all out of lego

We ended our evening with dinner at Swiss Chalet. Good food and great company!

Wednesday was the ladies day. We went and had our nails done! It was so fun all sitting there and have our feet bathed, massaged and manicured!

The following day was set aside to set up the reception area. It was at a working orchard and the barn was being used for the wedding. This needed to set up with tables/chairs, lighting and power for the screen and speakers etc. Steve and Alex did that, while Teresa and me stayed back and got things ready for the entertainment side of things.

Megan is very 'arty' and did alot of the 'little' things herself; like the table runners, the flowers arrangements on the tables, the number plaques for every table. It was very well done!

The next post will be the wedding. Stay tuned! It's coming!

Thanks for looking!
