Well the wedding was all over. We all sighed a collective sigh of relief (nah it wasn't that bad!). But it was good knowing it was all over. Since Teresa and Alex were taking our RV back to BC for us, we had to move out and make it livable for them. So that was Saturday morning. In the meantime, poor Megan was sick with a very sore throat so they went to the clinic and she was diagnosed with strep throat. And Teresa had a sore throat too! So Ali took her in as well and she too had strep throat. So they weren't feeling the best. They got their antibiotics and immediately started their course. Alex came and picked up the RV and they left sometime in the afternoon. Anthea went along with them.
That evening we met Ray and Renee (Steve's cousin) for dinner at Swiss Chalet. It was great to meet up with them and we look forward to seeing them in BC soon?
Sunday was spent with family and in the evening we went early to bed as we needed to leave the house at 4:30am! Our plane was leaving from Hamilton at 6:45am. Monday morning bright and early we got the airport and said our farewells to Ali and Megan.
Our flight was uneventful and we landed in Calgary. After a 3 hour wait which included some napping time, we landed safely in Abbotsford. Bea K picked us up and we finally arrived back home!
Cute kids entertainment - the planes rotated around the centre
The rest of the week was taken up with getting ready for school and Dad and Mum doing some visiting and touring Lynden. They thoroughly enjoyed being with us and seeing where and how we live; Dad did lots of gardening jobs and other bits and pieces.
My beans had been growing wonderfully while we were gone (must be due to Bernice singing to them when she went to water them!) and so Dad picked the ones that were ready and Mum sat outside in the sunshine and cut them all ready for the freezer! Thanks Dad and Mum! They taste good!
One night we were shouted out to dinner at the Nuthouse and yes, there are nutshells all over the floor. The kids had a great time throwing their shells away! Dinner was delicious too!
Well, that was that week! The following post will be Shantel's first day of school (as well as the older two!) and we had to say farewell to Dad and Mum.
Thanks for looking!
