Spring Break: Hoodsport!

We arrived home from Australia on Monday, the 4th of April. This was also the first day of spring break. So Steve had organized the RV to be ready to go, including food (Thanks Jan!) and all that was needed was us and our clothes. So the next day at 10am we set off for our secret location!

Our first stop were the tulip fields! Beautiful colors! Unfortunately, we didn't appreciate it as much as we should have as we had not yet acclimatized to the weather and it was freezing cold. Well, we thought so. Steve didn't!

We then got on the ferry at Fort Casey and got off at Port Townsend. From there we continued driving till we got to a little town called Hoodsport! It had a little RV park nestled on the edge of the mountain with a stream which ran along side our site and the canal on the other side of the road. It also had it's own private dock.

And don't mind me (I'm still suffering from jet lag). See the two girls down near the stream?!

The chef cooking up our dinner!

We had some beautiful tanning weather! In fact, it was here I got my tan and not in Australia!

Princess Taleesha!

We took a walk into the town and checked out its little antique store and salmon hatchery. While we were there, they were just releasing millions of salmon into the canal.

S'mores is a must!!

Hoodsport Canal. This is low tide. When the tide was up, the water was right up to the trees on the left.

Three beavers (human ones!) damming up the stream!

The hot tub was a hit!

On the last day, Friday, Rick and Jan and their kids made a surprise visit! We had a relaxing and enjoyable day out in the canoe, in the hot tub, beach combing and ended the day with dinner at Maccas!

Here the girls are busy coloring while traveling back in the RV.

It was a nice little getaway! Steve did a good job organizing it all! It was just the break we needed because on Wednesday morning, the girls and myself slept in till 11am!! And after that, we had no jet lag whatsoever!!

Thanks for looking!
