Birthdays and outings!

We are now at the end of May meaning Steve's birthday! In America you do things big, and so cans of beer come big too!

A couriered gift from a bro in Australia!

A day outing to Ross Lake. Beautiful weather and so relaxing. Scenery was also stunning!

No trip to Ross is complete with a flat and sure enough we got one! Check out the next pic of the rock that pierced the tyre! Incredible!

Bea and myself had a day out together. We walked around Lake Padden, did some shopping and then treated ourselves to a pedicure!

Shantel's class went on a field trip to Berthusen Park where I was a parent helper. It was a nice day. They first went to a book store and had story hour and then went to the park for some play, lunch and a scavenger hunt!

Alex and Terea visit and we visit Ontario!

School started up again; the last leg before the end of the school year. These two share the same shirts and love joining their mums at the mall; especially when it involves ice-cream!!

Spirit week this year was the Peter Pan theme. So I got some remnant material from the second hand store and whipped up these three shirts!

And just two weeks after I left Australia, Alex, Teresa and Connor visited North America!

We spent some time at the 'beach' at Birch Bay. The kids loved exploring under the rocks and playing with the washed up timber. And we enjoyed sitting and chatting!

The night before their departure we had a farewell dinner at White Spot!

And then we had another visitor; nephew Eric!

We enjoy his organ playing too!

We went for a hike up Teapot Hill; it was interesting for the kids to spot teapots and cups people have hung or placed in trees or in the bushes along the hike!

The next trip was to Ontario. Jan and myself went together as we both have a sibling there. Jan has her sister Leanne and I have my brother Alex. So in mid May we boarded WestJet at 6 in the morning for the trip across. As we flew over, we managed to get a shot of both our houses! Our place is on the bottom right hand corner.

We arrived and enjoyed getting to know one another and catch up on the latest!

It didn't take long for Jackson to warm up either!

An evening stroll and we came across a guy who had these birds as pets!

The following day we drove to Toronto and boarded the ferry to tour Toronto Island!

Beautiful island along with spectacular views!

As predicted, Jackson had a blowout! It took the 4 of us to change and clean him!

And then it was time to go home again! We had a great time and are thankful we could do this!
