Dinners, cinnamon scrolls and an engagement!

This week was a bit quieter in that we didn't have too many things planned. We had our first official home visit. We went to Costco with Anthea who was amazed by the bulk of everything! Shantel had three days at kindergarten due to catching up from the snow day we had before our break. Jaclyn and Stefan had their basketball games starting up again.

Tuesday we had two visitors for dinner; niece Alyssa and second cousin Felicity were in Abbotsford area for two weeks as part of their world tour, so we had a great time catching up.

Anthea loves to do the girls' hair and because she has the time, she does all fancy braids.

I made my first attempt at cinnamon scrolls. They looked very nice, but the kids thought the cinnamon was too strong, so I'll have to look for a different type of cinnamon. But when warm, I thought they tasted fine!

Saturday night we went out to Steakhouse 9 in Lynden for dinner with John and Veronica. It was very flash and the meal was delicious! And so was the company; we had some great laughs!

And my little brother Alex got engaged! Yeah! Congrats Ali and Megan! Looking forward to meeting you on Friday and catching up this weekend.

This week will be fairly busy. Anthea will have her last full week. We hope to make a batch of sausage rolls with some ladies in preparation for our Aussie Day celebration we hope to have here in Lynden. There is about 20 families in the Fraser valley area who are Aussies so it would be really neat to get together and celebrate our Aussie heritage. C'mon Aussie, c'mon, c'mon!

Well, here's another difference or two;

Diary = agenda
Roster = schedule

Wishing you all a great week. Thanks for visiting.
