Exploring the Olympic Penisula!

Our third vacation was just the four of us, Steve and myself and Darryn and Bea. We took the RV (of course!) and explored the Olympic Peninsula. We weren't far away from home really, but we certainly had lots to see and enjoy!

We took a ferry from Fort Casey to Port Townsend.

We then drove to Sequim and drove around the town on our bikes. Great way to get around!

Camping overnight in a nice campsite. Campfire, smores and just chill-axing!

The hot springs! So relaxing!

We did a number of hikes. Everything was so lush and green, with moss covering trees and rocks. Beautiful!

This was a great camping spot! South Beach on the west coast. The beach was beautiful yellow sand, lots of pebbles higher up and then washed up timber. For miles!

The guys even ventured in the water!

Another camping spot! Again very secluded, well kept campgrounds!

We had all extremes here, from topless (Steve), to t-shirt to sweaters!

The chef cooking up bacon and eggs!

We then moved on to Cape Disappointment.

We took our bikes and rode the 6 miles it took to get to Long Beach!

These circular kites were fascinating!

Sand sculpturing at Long Beach.

We came up near Olympia and drove our bikes again, past the Capitol and around the marina.

Thai dinner to finish off a fabulous week!

We camped overnight at a rest stop in Marysville and arrived home safe and sound! It was a great trip, relaxing and great to just get away and enjoy the sights and sounds of places so close to home!

Thanks for looking!

Palmer Lake!

From Oroville we headed south west to Palmer Lake, some 30 minutes away to spend some 6 days with John and Veronica and their family to celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary. We had a private campsite with amazing facilities, beautiful green grass, a huge gazebo, a private dock and a lake to enjoy!

Brooke's babysitters!

Shantel kayaking!

Shantel and Chase!

Maria, Shantel and Taleesha playing with playdough!

But as usual, all good times end, and this one did with a big group photo!

It was really nice to catch up! Thanks John and Veronica for the great time!!
